OUR INTENSIVE THERAPY PROGRAM:
Keep Moving Forward, Inc.offers a unique and effective Intensive Physical Therapy Program for infants through adulthood with neuromuscular disorders, developmental delays and a variety of other diagnoses, performed on a one-on-one basis with an experienced and certified therapist.
Our holistic approach focuses on enhancing the development of independence. A variety of tools and techniques are utilized during each treatment session including:
- TheraSuit® (Soft Dynamic Proprioceptive Orthosis)
- Universal Exercise Unit-Pulley System
- Spider Suspension System
- Weight-Assisted Gait Training with the Treadmill
- Sensory Integration
- Fine and Gross Motor Tools

Indications for Intensive Physical Therapy (include but not limited to):
- Developmental Delays
- Cerebral Palsy
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Autism
- Stroke
- Ataxia
- Athetosis
- Hypertonia (spasticity)
- Hypotonia (low muscle tone)
- Down Syndrome
- Pre-Pubescent Obesity

WHAT DOES OUR INTENSIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY PROGRAM ENTAIL?
Individuals that use this intensive Physical Therapy Program come to our center 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, for approximately 3-4 weeks .
What can I expect while coming to Keep Moving Forward, Inc?
A typical day at our center consists of the following:
• Warm up and deep tissue massage
• Tone reduction and Sensory Integration techniques
• Decreasing pathological movement patterns
• Increasing active proper movement patterns
• Stretching/strengthening specific muscle groups responsible for functional movement
• Progressive resistance exercises
• Balance, coordination and endurance training
• Transfers, functional activities and gait training
What does the Intensive Physical Therapy Program look like?
First Week: We will work on tone reduction, decreasing pathological movement patterns, and increasing active proper movement patterns, and general strengthening.
Second Week: We will work on strengthening specific muscle groups responsible for the function.
Third and Fourth Week: Using the increased strength and endurance, we will improve the individual’s level of function (including sitting, crawling, and walking).
