Keep Moving Forward, Inc. is the FIRST intensive physical therapy clinic in Long Island!
“Around here, we don’t look backwards for very long. We KEEP MOVING FORWARD, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we are confident and this confidence keeps leading us to work determined to achieve and sustain success…”
Our program encompasses a variety of tools and techniques, including but not limited to:
The TheraSuit is a soft, proprioceptive, dynamic, orthosis, consisting of a cap, vest, shorts, knee pads, and shoes. Each piece is connected with tension bands that are aligned in the direction of muscle fibers.
The UEU is a system combined with pulleys and bungees that allow for muscle isolation by eliminating gravitation forces while facilitating coordination to improve functional movements
Partial body weight is supported using an overhead tracking system or support on a treadmill which creates effective gait training.
Redcord/Neurac is a treatment aimed at restoring functional movement patterns through high levels of neuromuscular stimulation (add this to the end of the sentence please)… using straps and body weight resistance
Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (which targets motor nerves) and TENS (which targets sensory nerves) are techniques used to elicit a muscle contraction or decrease pain by using electrical impulses.
Provokes the appearance of absent automatic motor functions, exposing the child to the influence of gravity forces.
A rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion
Integrating the brain's sensory system with motor function using a variety of tools including swings, unstable surfaces, proprioception, and visual stimuli.
We are proud to say we have wonderful administrative staff supporting these amazing therapist and our family of patients.
