Physical Therapist- Pediatric, Neuro based

Keep Moving Forward, Inc. is an intensive rehabilitation/physical therapy outpatient center located in the center of Garden City, New York. Our therapists primarily treat complex pediatric and adult neurological cases which involve (but not limited to): Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Developmental Delay. All treatments are provided one-on-one with customized treatment plans, a variety of functional exercises/movements and typically range from 1-3 hour sessions per patient. Our therapists are specifically trained to utilize the TheraSuit and Universal Exercise Unit in addition to a variety of advanced tools necessary helpful to maximize function.
We are looking for a person with some SUPER ABILITIES to help some children with SPECIAL ABILITIES
Position Summary:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned according to the need of patient care and further development of programs.
-Provide physical therapy services on a regularly scheduled basis.
-Develop, review, and evaluate treatment plans.
-Prepare home treatment and exercise plans.
-Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, assessments, reports, and treatment plans.
-Utilize electronic medical records for all documentation.
-Serve as a liaison between patient and community services (school, work, medical, etc.)
-Provide knowledge base fundamental guidance to families.
-Attend all required trainings and staff meetings.
-Maintain a clean and safe treatment area.
-Provide value added project based work (marketing, technology, care coordination, etc)
Minimum Requirements:
-Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
-New York State Physical Therapy license
– 2 years experience in pediatric and adult rehabilitation preferred. New grads, who are willing to learn and absorb information from seasoned physical therapists, will be considered.
